The Importance of the Humane Society

Prior to the formation of the Humane Society of the United States, there was actually seen such a high degree of injustice and unkindness that animals were subjected to in slaughterhouses, puppy mills and even laboratories. To prevent such kinds of unkind acts on animals, the Humane Society of the United States was born.
