Every year, hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats are turned over to animal shelters as a result of their house owners don’t need them any more. Muttville is a nonprofit, 501(c)(three) organization dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs. By means of various programs, we will assist our communities’ animals and insure they discover safe, loving houses and obtain necessary medical care to live lengthy and wholesome lives.
The Evanston Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is dedicated to offering compassionate and humane care for Evanston’s deserted, abused and relinquished animals and to find them homes via rehabilitation, foster care, adoption, and rescue organizations.
We partner with our foster community to temporarily place pets whereas they are searching for their excellent residence, but we are ALL THE TIME in want of extra people to open their hearts (and their properties) and foster our animals prior to adoption. The cottages offer indoor and out of doors space, and whereas each dog lives separately, shelter workers give the canines time to socialize, too.
Go to us throughout our adoption hours at 2310 Oakton St. in Evanston, IL. The shelter is between Dodge and McCormick and across from the shopping heart with Petsmart, Residence Depot and Steak & Shake. All our canine and cats are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.
A community of volunteers reply to calls from shelters, vets, and good Samaritans to provide avian vet care for ailing or injured home, unreleasable pigeons and doves, lengthy-time period foster care, and to develop adopters and place them into certified eternally homes.
